Meet our judges

With decades of experience behind the lens, our judges bring a deep understanding of photography's technical and artistic elements. Each of our judges have spent years honing their craft through professional work, exhibitions, teaching and publications. Their keen eye for composition, light, and storytelling ensures that every entry will be evaluated with both expertise and care. Their extensive background not only qualifies them to judge the competition, but also reflects a lifelong passion. They all share a deep love for the Wenonah trails, and the natural beauty that make our community so special.

Ron Farina

Ron has run a successful commercial photography studio in the Delaware Valley since 1990, following an earlier 18 year career in radio and television broadcasting.He began studying photography in 1968 and has worked with major clients like HBO, Hasbro,Disney, and the U.S. National Guard. In partnership with Eastman Kodak, he supervised "The Life and Times of Central New York", a large scale photographic study featuring 100 photographers.Now based in Wenonah ,he looks forward to celebrating the trails through this special photography project.

Deb Mix

Deb is a lifelong artist who began her creative journey right here in Wenonah, where she spent her childhood immersed in the beauty of the Wenonah Trails. She went on to study Textile Design at Montclair State Univesity, where she discovered a deep passion for photography . That discovery would shape her artistic path for decades to come. With over 40 years of experience as an art educator, Deb also pursued her own work across multiple mediums. Her photography has been featured in several gallery exhibitions throughout the U.S. and she earned second place in the prestigious Pinelands Photography Competition, selected from hundreds of entries, and was spotlighted in The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her work is part of their permanent exhibition. In addition, over 30 of her multimedia prints hang throughout  Atlanticare Health System of South Jersey. Deb is thrilled to help judge the contest in her hometown.

Lyndi Sheehan

A graduate of Tyler School of Art with a BFA in Photography and a minor in Art History, Lyndi has been an art educator since 2008 and currently teaches at Wenonah Elementary. Her background includes event photography,editing, and a love for darkroom experimentation.As a mother of three and a dedicated teacher, she finds constant inspiration in her student's creativity and always returns to her roots in photography. Living in Wenonah since 2018, she has a deep connection to the town and the surrounding trails and is excited to experience them through the lens of our contest participants.
